Upon delivery, the customer can simply plug in the network cables, turn V-Block on, and migrate applications and existing guests to the new solution and V-Block will be running within a few days.
- Customization: V-Block provides further value to customers by allowing extensive customization to deliver “optimum application performance.” VCE will construct a logically built V-Block for a company’s specific data center. There are 4 versions of V-Block (100, 200, 300, and 700) to best meet the specific processing needs of all businesses. The V-Block 100 and 200 systems are designed to optimally serve the needs of small businesses, or those with 50 to 500 employees. The V-Block 300 generally serves the needs of medium sized companies. However, when determining which V-Block system will best suit the needs of your company, processing power is the integral factor.
- Risk avoidance: Unlike the ‘a la carte’ solutions of the past which required the customer to keep track of firmware patch levels, supported patch level matrixes, and late night ‘patch and pray’ sessions, VCE V-Block solutions not only arrive at the customer’s data center ready to run, they also come with a unified firmware and patch support service which provides the customer with a supported and packaged set of firmware and patches which have been fully regression tested by VCE. All V-Block firmware is stringently tested- lowering the cost of ownership and allowing IT personnel to apply their efforts to the improvement of the company. VCE’s Life Cycle System Assurance releases an upgraded package quarterly, eliminating the risks and worries associated with managing patches and updates from multiple vendors.
