Facilities Technician

We are looking for someone who has janitorial, housekeeping, porter, and general building maintenance experience. This will be a temp to hire position, beginning as a porter and moving into permanent placement as Facilities Technician. General Information:
- Hours: 8:00AM – 5:00PM, Monday – Friday
- Building size: 3 floors, 48,000 sq. ft.
- General cleaning – sweeping, vacuuming, cleaning windows, wiping down counters and tables, refrigerator cleaning (twice a month), trash removal, etc…
- Clean up after demos and customer lunch and learns
- Restocking break room supplies including refrigerators and coffee supplies
- Supply inventory
- Lifting and package deliveries
- Change light bulbs when needed
- Take care of toilet/urinal overflows, restock toiletries in restrooms
- Have the knowledge to assess malfunctions of restrooms and determine if a plumber or electrician should be called or if it can be handled internally
- Maintenance/clean up outside of the building by visually inspecting sprinkler system for proper function, picking up debris and trash that may be in the parking lot or bushes.
- Maintain the dumpster area ensuring that proper trash is in the dumpster, boxes are broken down
- Provides general and detailed maintenance including patching, painting, and other repair/replacement work as required
- Preforms regular maintenance of facilities equipment and appliances
- Preforms duties associated with events, including set up, break-down and all tasks required for the duration of the event
- Other duties as assigned
- High School diploma or GED
- At least two years of verifiable experience
- Experience with electrical and plumbing equipment preferred
- Good verbal and written communication skills, with ability to receive and respond to work assignments in both formats
- Strong command of the English language both spoken and written
- Read, comprehend, and work from plans and operating instructions
- Follow oral and written instructions; maintain cooperative working relationships
- Detail orientation with a mindset towards meeting DataVox’s high standards for maintenance of facilities
- Demonstrated time management skills
- Ability to meet deadlines
- Access and employ job related computer software (email, work planning, timekeeping) at an effective proficiency level
- Works independently with limited supervision
- Interacts with various levels of staff and vendors
